H-1B Cap FY 2022 Selection Process Complete

Today, March 30, USCIS announced that they have completed the H-1B Cap selection process for FY 2022. Registrants can login to their myUSCIS account to track the status of their applications.

Registrant accounts will show one of the following statuses for each registration:

  • Selected: registration was selected to file a Cap petition. Registrants should download the selection notices and retain for their records.

  • Submitted: registration was successfully submitted, but not selected in the initial selection process.

  • Denied: registration became invalid because more than one registration was submitted for the beneficiary. If denied due to duplicate submission, all registrations filed for the beneficiary will be invalid for this fiscal year.

  • Invalidated-Failed Payment: registration was submitted, but the payment method was declined.

H-1B Cap registrations that were selected in the lottery will be eligible for filing on April 1, 2021. Note that H-1B Cap petitions must be filed at the service center within the filing period listed on the selection notice. Selection notices should be printed and included in the petition filed with USCIS.
