Starting October 1st, COVID-19 Vaccination Required for Green Card Applicants

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has announced that, starting October 1, 2021, all foreign nationals filing an Application to Adjust Status (I-485) or applying for an immigrant visa at a U.S. consulate abroad will need to have received a complete COVID-19 vaccine series in order to be deemed eligible for permanent residence. If the medical exam is completed before October 1, 2021, and the exam results are within the validity period (typically 2 years from completion with some exceptions), COVID-19 vaccination is not required
